Oak trees are more than familiar features of our forests and landscapes. They play an important role in healthy, resilient ecosystems, supporting an extraordinary range of plants, wildlife, and ecological relationships. Join Mike Kost of Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum and the U-M School for Environment and Sustainability to explore the importance of oaks in Michigan, the ecosystems they support, and why their stewardship matters in a changing climate.
Participants will have the opportunity to take home a free oak seedling. Space is limited; registration is required.
