Get Involved with Our Sponsored Student Organizations
MBGNA directly sponsors two student organizations that embody our mission. These groups meet regularly, host hands-on events, and are open to all U-M students.
Campus Farm Club
The Campus Farm Club is a student-driven community centered on sustainable food systems, equity, and leadership. Working closely with the U-M Campus Farm at Matthaei Botanical Gardens, members engage in everything from planting and harvesting to organizing campus-wide food justice programming. This club is a great fit for anyone interested in sustainability, food, farming, or building a more resilient future—no experience required.
Ecological Restoration Club
The Ecological Restoration Club is dedicated to restoring and protecting natural areas in and around campus. Sponsored by MBGNA, the group supports biodiversity through activities like native seed collection, invasive species removal, and prescribed burns. The club welcomes students of all backgrounds—no prior knowledge or fieldwork experience is necessary.
Partner With MBGNA
Are you part of a U-M student organization interested in sustainability, community service, or connecting with nature? MBGNA welcomes opportunities to collaborate on educational programs, service events, or projects that align with our mission.
As a living-learning environment rooted in sustainability, our goal is to foster shared stewardship of the gardens, fields, and natural areas we care for. Due to the ecological sensitivity of our sites and our role as a public space, all events must be planned in consultation with our University Outreach and Education team.
To begin the process, please complete the form below with the information you currently have. MBGNA staff will follow up to explore possibilities, discuss logistics, and support the success of your event or partnership.
