Bike to the Gardens from Central Campus!
Did you know that you can bike most of the way from central campus to the Matthaei Botanical Gardens without biking along any major roads? See the map below, which shows the route: wind through campus to access the B2B trail along Fuller Rd, and then bike along the river and through the forest for the rest of the way. The B2B connects to Parker Mill County Park. The path winds through boardwalks and bridges, offering beautiful scenery, and passes by the Parker Mill historic cider mill, which was operated by the Parker family until 1958. A path under the Geddes Bridge at Parker Mill connects to the Matthaei Botanical Gardens Hike/ Bike Trail. Take this beautiful path for the final two miles, and arrive at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens. The route is approximately 7 miles long and takes 35-40 minutes one way.
