Join the Michigan Botanical Club - Huron Valley Chapter for a presentation by botanist Scott Warner as Scott shares experiences conducting a comprehensive forest inventory in Michigan’s most remote state park. Scott will discuss the interesting plants he encountered while traversing sedge meadows, conifer swamps, and granite cliffs. These plants include Hippuris vulgaris (mare’s tale), Carex pauciflora (sedge), and Gentiana linearis (narrow-leaved gentian).
Scott Warner is a botanist with the Michigan Natural Features Inventory and instructor of Plant Systematics at Michigan State University.
