Discover Your Nature Rx

We believe in the therapeutic benefits of connecting with the natural world. Nature Rx is our invitation to students, faculty, staff, and the wider community to engage with nature to reduce stress, improve mood, and increase overall happiness.

How Does Nature Rx Work?

Research has consistently shown that spending time in nature can lead to significant health benefits. These include reduced anxiety, improved concentration, and even a boost to the immune system. Nature Rx encourages you to spend time outdoors, whether it's a serene walk through our gardens, a moment by the pond, or a walk on the trails of the Arboretum.

Your Personalized Nature Prescription

With the University of Michigan Nature Rx App, getting your dose of nature is easier than ever! Based on your location and preferences, the app suggests specific trails, gardens, and natural areas within MBGNA and the wider University area.
