A light learning session about the springtime foods, traditions, and medicines of an ancient culture that connects overall well-being to the universal rhythms of the natural world.
Practice short, accessible standing movement meditations and meditation or breath practices to sense how we share the same rhythms and qualities with the natural world- our bodies shift with the seasons, we have structure like a tree, flow like a river, shift like the wind, and glow with light like the sun! We also enjoy rooting, grounding for stability, reaching, and extending for growth.
Share stories of how time with yourself and or others in springtime travel, rituals, or traditions that opened your mind up to new ways of connection to the natural world.
Bring something to sit on outside, like a mat or cushion. Will be outdoors if the weather permits, otherwise in the conservatory with the plants. Session led by Jennifer Lenders, C-IAYT Yoga Therapist.

Matthaei Botanical Gardens is hosting free guided nature walks on select Wednesdays and Sundays. These walks are FREE, no registration is required. Wonder Walks are designed for all ages to inspire curiosity and learning from each other through activities that model curiosity and honor nature. If we have a sizeable mixed-age group, we may separate into two sets to offer the same content at different levels of engagement.
Wednesday walks begin at 5:00 pm. Sunday walks begin at 1:00 pm. We recommend gathering inside the lobby of Matthaei Botanical Gardens about 10 minutes before the start.
