Reception for Terrain and Form: Patterns in Nature.

Lisse Williams is a contemporary abstract painter working with materials mostly in the world of water media. Her focus lies on the intersection of our built and unbuilt environments and looking at the edge spaces and patterns that arise between. She has exhibited nationwide with work in both private and public collections. The most recent ventures include The Other Art Fair in Los Angeles and Chicago, as well as The Art Center Highland Park Chicago, and beyond.

As a child her maternal Grandmother a non resident member of The Thornapple Branch of the Grand River Band of Ottawa Indians instilled in her a deep sensation of connectivity, and relationship to this region. In addition the influence of her paternal Grandmother of Japan, helped create a world of work that reaches to understand intangible connections to our past through painting.

On days not in the studio she can be found digging in the dirt, studying or snuggling with her cat.
