Primrose oil for atopic dermatitis; contains an omega-6 essential fatty acid, called gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), which is believed to be EPO’s active ingredient.

Orally, evening primrose oil is used for premenstrual syndrome (PMS), mastalgia, endometriosis, and symptoms of menopause such as hot flashes; Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) found in evening primrose seems to be responsible for its anti-inflammatory effects.
