Two Great Locations, One Organization

Online with the Nichols Arboretum Peony Garden

This season, with your health and safety foremost, we ask that you not visit the Nichols Arboretum Peony Garden. Instead, enjoy a curated collection of digital materials from the comfort and safety of your home.

Behold the beautiful tree peony! Native to China, the tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa), is a deciduous and long-lived woody shrub that grows well in zones 4-8. We’ve planted many tree peonies on the hillside next to the main herbaceous peony beds. They usually bloom a week or two prior to herbaceous peonies.
Please enjoy the peony garden online this 2020 season from the comfort and safety of your home. Thank you!
