Garden Area: Cardiovascular

The cardiovascular system circulates blood through a network of vessels throughout the body. This provides individual cells with oxygen and nutrients and helps dispose of metabolic wastes. The heart pumps the blood through the blood vessels. Problems arise when the heart doesn’t pump efficiently, when cholesterol levels are too high, or when veins and arteries are compromised.
