Nichols Arboretum Peony Garden Bloom Season
Ann Arbor, MI 48104 United States + Google Map
May 25 @ 8:00 am - June 15 @ 8:00 pm
Each spring, the University of Michigan Nichols Arboretum Peony Garden returns for a stunning spring bloom of over 270 historic varieties (cultivars) from the nineteenth and early twentieth century. Scroll down for a gallery of peony photos from last year showing early buds to full bloom.
The peony garden bloom from approximately Memorial Day through mid-June. Weather is a big part of when the peonies bloom, making it difficult to give an exact bloom date. Even so, the garden has been remarkably consistent in its bloom time over the years. For bloom updates and much more information about peonies visit the Nichols Arboretum Peony Garden website.
The garden is located near the 1610 Washington Heights entrance to Nichols Arboretum and is part of the University of Michigan Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum.
