Nov 2, 2017

Matthaei-Nichols Director Bob Grese, together with producer-director Carey Lundin and the late producer-writer Mark Frazel, has won a 2017 Professional Honor Award in the communications category for his contributions to the documentary film Jens Jensen: The Living Green. In the project narrative Frazel and Lundin credit Bob’s book, Jens Jensen Maker of Parks and Gardens, as the basis of the film, with Bob helping to find the story and connect it to today. Bob notes, “I felt very honored to be a part of this award and am delighted to have the film recognized by the ASLA.  Throughout the making of the film, I enjoyed working with Carey and Mark.  For all of us involved, the film was truly a labor of love.  Hopefully receiving this award will encourage more people to see the film and discover how Jensen’s artistry and devotion to conservation has lessons for today.” Click here to view images from the film.
